Service
Passive Fire Protection
Passive fire protection does not put the fire out — it contains it. It keeps smoke and heat within one compartment and buys time for evacuation.
What it includes
- Fire-resisting doors and shutters with certified fire resistance
- Fire dampers in ductwork
- Fire stopping of cable and pipe penetrations
- Fire-resisting partitions and linings
- Compliance documentation for each element

Frequently asked questions
What clients usually ask
What do EI 60 and EI 120 mean?
They give the time in minutes for which the element maintains integrity (E) and insulation (I). EI 120 means two hours.
Is a fire door enough?
No. If the cable penetrations next to it are not sealed, the compartment will not hold. Passive fire protection works as a whole.
